Batteries

Cells and batteries are capable of transforming chemical energy into electrical energy. Therefore, they are electrical generators that make up the class of chemical generators.

Cells and batteries are electrical generators that make up the class of chemical generators, because they are capable of transforming chemical energy into electrical energy.

In addition, they are also devices capable of maintaining a potential difference between the points where they are connected (positive and negative poles).

The basic function of these devices is to increase the potential energy of the charges that pass through them, and they are called sources of electromotive force.

The chemical generated (cells and batteries) made it possible to produce continuous and uniform electrical charges, which led physicists to formulate a new concept and a new physical quantity that could define such a property, the electromotive force.

The basic generating unit of these chemical generators is called a cell.

For batteries, their use in some cases requires a series association, as the voltage supplied is not sufficiently capable of supplying the use of equipment due to its voltage index, which is 1.5V for common batteries.

With technological advances, it became possible to use recharge for both batteries and batteries, but this process also has the so-called useful life of these generators, which depends on their good use and quality.

Conclusion: in chemical generators, their resulting energy is transformed into electrical energy.
