Carl Sagan was an important American astronomer of the 20th century. He participated in important NASA missions and published several scientific articles.
Sagan became famous because of the publication of books on Astronomy and the 1980 TV series entitled “Cosmo: A Personal Journey” , in which his main objective was the dissemination of Astronomy. Sagan has published over 600 scientific publications and written over 20 books on Science and Science Fiction. Some of his quotes about the cosmos are very famous because of their interesting opinions about the universe.

Carl Sagan played an important role in the beginning of the development of space programs for the then created NASA , the American space agency. He was a NASA advisor and collaborated on the Apollo 11 development project, which took man to the moon in 1969. He also had an expressive participation in the launch missions of the Galileo probe and the Voyoger probes, where messages about Earth were recorded on discs. in case the probes find intelligent life.
Another important contribution by the astronomer was to show that Titan, one of Saturn ‘s moons , had oceans of liquid compounds, as well as that Europa, one of Jupiter’s moons , could have subterranean oceans of water , which would make life possible.
